Tammy Beaumont named as one of Wisden’s cricketers of the year

JM Finn ambassador and England stalwart, Tammy Beaumont has been named as one of five players of the year by Wisden.

Opener Tammy averaged over 50 from nine one day internationals in 2018 and hit the fastest T20 century by an England women’s player last summer, scoring 116 off 52 balls against South Africa.

The annual publication, Wisden Cricketers’ Almanac select players for this honour based on their influence on the previous English season. Each year five players are selected and any one player can only ever be named once in their career.

Tammy joins an illustrious list of players and was named alongside England players Sam Curran and Rory Burns who both play for Surrey CCCC, where JM Finn is a corporate partner. Jos Buttler, the England vice-captain and India captain, Virat Kohli make up this year’s five players.
