Tammy Beaumont opens junior’s season at Kent club

England and Kent Women’s star bat, Tammy Beaumont MBE opened the season at Sissinghurst Cricket Club in Kent with a junior coaching session on Sunday 28 April.


Tammy is sponsored by wealth management firm JM Finn who arranged for Tammy to deliver a ‘Masterclass’ on the opening Sunday of the season and to put the club’s youngsters through some coaching drills. JM Finn are Sissinghurst’s current shirt sponsors and helped contribute to the new electronic scoreboard last season.

28 year-old, Dover born Tammy is a prolific opening bat and wicketkeeper who plays for Kent, Surrey Stars and England Women’s teams. Last month saw Tammy go past 1000 runs in women’s T20 internationals in the victory over Sri Lanka as well as being named as one of Wisden’s five cricketers of the year.

With ninety-four junior players attending, Paul Dyas, JM Finn Investment Director and Sissinghurst club member commented: “We were delighted to see so many juniors, both boys and girls, attend these sessions and we are very grateful to Tammy for coming to help us support these grass roots initiatives; she is a genuine inspiration to all cricketers.”

JM Finn has been a corporate partner and official wealth manager of Surrey County Cricket Club for 14 years and are in the second season of sponsoring Tammy Beaumont. As well as being shirt sponsor for Sissinghurst CC, they also sponsor the Southern Spartans which is one of eight areas within the Kent cricketing community and includes squads for all age groups, from under-9s to under-18s, including two women’s squads. The Southern Spartans Area Cricket Squads are now run by Aspire Cricket Coaching, having been awarded the licence in August 2018. JM Finn also sponsor the U-14 team of the Suffolk County Cricket Club.
