Stock Exchange annual regatta

JM Finn & Co was again represented at the Stock Exchange Sailing Association’s annual regatta at Seaview on the Isle of Wight.

Competing for the Ke myss Betty trophy, the team, led by Senior Investment Manager, David Higham, were up against a number of city firms, including Julius Baer, Investec, JP Morgan and Charles Stanley.

The conditions were ideal in the morning, with a brisk south westerly of 15-20 knots which freshened to 20–25+ knots in the afternoon, creating some challenging conditions.  This year’s fleet was one of the more competitive, with a number of ex-professional sailors skippering boats with the winning boat from Cenkos posting four wins out of six races, despite the close racing.

Following last year’s second place, JM Finn’s team had to make do with eighth place overall as they struggled to get to grips with the challenging conditions presented by the stronger winds in the afternoon.
