St Nicholas Hospice Care’s Girls Night Out Walk

Bury St Edmunds based charity, St Nicholas Hospice Care is holding it's annual 'Girls Night Out' walk in September with JM Finn as the main sponsor. All funds raised by the event help support patients and their families in Suffolk.

Now in its ninth year, the event sees thousands of women take to the streets of Bury St Edmunds to walk either 11.2 or 6 miles, whilst wearing pyjamas and bunny ears – causing quite a stir in the town, to raise awareness of the hospice and the services it provides.

Andrew Mann, Senior Investment Manager from JM Finn & Co in Bury St Edmunds said ‘We are delighted to be the main sponsor for the Girls Night Out charity moonlight walk. As an organization we are always keen to support our local community, and St Nicholas Hospice Care helps so many people and their families when they really need it.’

Last year, over 2000 women took part in the walk, raising £250,000 for the hospice. Organisers are hoping that, with support from JM Finn & Co, even more women will join the walk this year. Jenny Smith, Hospice events and challenges fundraiser, said ‘We were overwhelmed by the reaction to the 2016 Girls Night Out – and would love to make this year’s walk even bigger and better.’

Registration for the walk opened on Saturday 1st April – to find out more or register please click here to visit the event website.
