Regulator launches new campaign

With social media becoming a hot bed of investment scams, the FCA has launched a national campaign to raise awareness.


The campaign from the UK regulator, featuring Emil the Seal, sees the launch of a Firm Checker for consumers to go online and check whether a financial services provider is genuine and authorised to do the business they are promoting.  Targeting younger investors, the campaign encourages viewers to check firms before they “seal the deal.” The ad can be found here and the new Firm Checker tool here.
