JM Finn supports leading choir in 50th anniversary year

The Waynflete Singers, one of the leading large choirs in the South of England, are celebrating their 50th anniversary ‘Golden Year’ in 2020 with a wide and ambitious range of activities.


Taking their name from the fifteenth‐century Bishop of Winchester, William of Waynflete, the choir’s regular concert venue is the nave of Winchester Cathedral where they are conducted by Andrew Lumsden, Director of Music at the Cathedral.

JM Finn are proud to announce their support of the choir, which comes hot on the heels of the opening of their latest regional office in Winchester.

The Golden Year concert diary includes:

  • Saturday 28th March 2020: A gala concert in Winchester Cathedral.
  • Beethoven’s Missa Solemnis, Winchester Cathedral.
  • Saturday 24th October 2020 Brahms’ German Requiem, Christchurch Priory
  • Saturday 5th December 2020: Handel's 'Messiah', Winchester Cathedral
