JM Finn is very pleased to announce that for the fifth year, we will be the lead sponsor of the north’s largest contemporary art exhibition, Art for Youth North, which has raised over £350,000 to date for the UK’s leading youth charity, UK Youth. Antonia Consett, a Senior Investment Manager in the York office, is a volunteer on the Committee organising the Fair, providing a connection between JM Finn’s support of the Fair and the Charity UK Youth. Lucy Coutts, Investment Director and Head of the York Office at JM Finn said: “JM Finn has long been associated with the arts and has sponsored Art for Youth North since 2014. We have extensive partnerships with The Affordable Art Fair UK and The Royal Academy so it’s great to be involved with an initiative that is local to our York office, while supporting the work of such a great charity.”
The event will run from Tuesday 31st October to Saturday 4th November 2023 at Queen Mary’s School, Baldersby Park, Topcliffe in Thirsk, and offers a unique opportunity to buy affordable, original art from over 70 leading professional and new artists from the Yorkshire and North East regions. With over 750 individual pieces including paintings, etchings and photographs to sculptures and ceramics and with prices ranging from £40 to £4,000, Art for Youth North will offer something for everyone.
Rachel Bowron, Chair for Art for Youth North, commented: “We are very excited to have the support of JM Finn again for this, our 21st anniversary event. Their sponsorship has been invaluable to us over the years and we simply couldn’t put on the show without them. Their involvement creates a fantastic sponsors’ evening which is always very successful and a great way to start our five-day event. We like to support new artists just starting their career and the partnership with JM Finn gives us the security to create a unique environment for artists to be seen and to sell, knowing that for every piece sold, 33% is donated to charity. We say to anyone who loves art: why bother buying reproductions when you can support local talent and buy original, affordable art and raise money for charity at the same time?”
