Hackwood Point to Point

The rescheduled Vine & Craven point-to point at Hackwood Park, near Basingstoke was blessed with good weather and a strong turnout.

This annual fixture, which was rescheduled following the postponement of the traditional Easter Monday point to point, had a record number of declarations for the six races.

For the first time the meet was an evening event starting at 4.30pm which did not deter the loyal, local point to pointers who witnessed some great racing in spectacular conditions.

The JM Finn Mens Open race, the big race of the day, was won by Templebraden and jockey Zac Baker, who won the same race at the last meeting at Hackwood.  The horse is trained by Maxwell Young and owned by Sarah Oliver.

JM Finn were delighted to sponsor the event and continue their association with the Vine & Craven point to point.
