Great City Race draws thousands of entrants

5,000 runners took to the streets of the City of London for the 11th edition of the Standard Chartered Great City Race.

On a glorious summer’s evening on 9th July, the City traffic was put on hold as the annual event attracted over 500 teams.  Run in aid of the charity, Seeing is Believing, the 5km run is open to corporate teams from around the City of London and ten of JM Finn & Co’s finest athletes stepped forward to represent the firm.

Of our ten starters, it was the first two men and first two women home to count, and after a battling run it was Daniel Vile, Renata Smith, Tamson Martin, and Will Smyth-Osbourne who posted our times with a combined total of 1 hour, 34 minutes and 33 seconds.

Of the 586 teams to take part, this put the team in 177th position, a very respectable spot.  Congratulations to the JM Finn & Co team and all the entrants who raised a valuable contribution to Seeing is Believing.
