Art for Youth North enables both established and new artists to show their work and raises funds for the leading youth work charity, UK Youth. The exhibition has previously raised nearly £200,000 for young people thanks to ticket sales and the artists, who donate 33% of sales to the charity. With prices ranging from £40 - £3,000 prints and unframed portfolio work are also available and this year, there will be an area dedicated to young emerging artists.
UK Youth has been working to better the lives of young people for over 100 years, and their experience is second to none. Through their network of youth development organisations across the UK, they empower 729,694 young people to take control of their own lives with the support, encouragement and opportunities they need to help them reach their full potential and grow into confident, capable adults who lead fulfilling lives. In 2014/15 over 68,583 of these young people took part in their innovative programmes, gained accreditation or attended UK Youth’s outdoor learning centre at Avon Tyrrell.
