JM Finn & Co announces the appointment of two new London-based investment managers: Andrew J.M. Cumming and Michael Barlow (subject to FSA approval).

Andrew J.M. Cumming, with more than 15 years experience currently as an Investment Director at BNP Paribas Wealth Management will join later in the autumn. Michael Barlow, a Senior Investment Manager also currently in the private client division of BNP Paribas Wealth Management will join in the coming months.

JM Finn & Co is proud to announce the launch of our latest fund, JM Finn UK Smaller Companies Fund.

The objective of the fund is to deliver growth through a 'panoramic' approach and outlook that sets it apart from other small cap funds. Investment will be focussed on LSE listed companies that have exposure to the exceptional growth trends that are a consequence of globalisation that involve the industrialisation and urbanisation of developing countries, in addition to the high growth areas left in the developed markets.

The fund will be managed by Gill Leates who makes a return to fund management in the City having been responsible for a number of different mandates over her exceptional 25 year career.

Gill started her career at Schroders managing the largest smaller companies fund in the City at that time, the Schroder Smaller Companies Exempt Fund. Subsequently, Gill managed £1 billion of UK pension fund assets for Courtaulds Pension Fund.

More recently, as Investment Director on the Main Board of Majedie Investments PLC, Gill played a lead role in the creation of Majedie Asset Management, the UK pension fund management business, which now has around £4 billion AUM. Gill also managed the Majedie global growth investment trust.

JM Finn UK Smaller Companies Fund is an addition to the investment fund stable at JM Finn & Co which currently includes the UK Portfolio Fund and the Global Opportunities Fund.
