James Edgedale

James is the Chairman of JM Finn & Co and he has 24 years experience in the industry. He joined JM Finn & Co in 1984 from University, became a Partner in 1990, Senior Partner in 2000 and on incorporation Chairman. He splits his time between the day to day Company issues and looking after a large number of client portfolios, including private clients, trusts, pension funds and charities.

David Barstow

David is responsible for the Leeds Office. He joined JM Finn & Co in 2005 and had previously been a Partner in the Harrogate firm of Cawood Smithie. However, his career started in Industry where he worked for I.C.I/Zeneca for over twenty years mostly in the Agricultural /biotechnology sector as Managing Director of one of their businesses.

Charles Beck

Charles joined JM Finn & Co in 1979 from the Bank of England's Economic Intelligence Department, became a partner in 1984 and has had a variety of roles in the company. Charles is Compliance Director and has overall responsibility for I.T.

Toby Clarkson

Toby manages portfolios from our Bristol office. He joined JM Finn & Co in 1999 having been a director of Greig Middleton and prior to that Allied Provincial Securities.

Roger Cosslett

Roger joined JM Finn & Co in 1986, becoming a Partner in 1993. Following the incorporation of the company in 2006 Roger is now a Director responsible for managing portfolios on behalf of a wide range of private clients, trusts, pension funds and charities.

Paul Dyas

Paul joined JM Finn & Co in 1993 having graduated from Reading University. He became a Partner of JM Finn & Co in 2000 and after incorporation joined the Board as a Director. Paul manages funds for a range of traditional Private Clients, Pension Funds, Trusts and Charities.

Paul Farrant

Paul started his career in the Far East, joined JM Finn & Co in 1980 becoming a Partner in 1987. He manages private clients, trusts and charities. In addition to being on the board with responsibility for marketing he is also a Director of APCIMS.

John Finn

John currently looks after a range of private and charity clients. In 1998 he began the Company's corporate activities which have subsequently grown into FinnCap, our successful NOMAD and corporate adviser/broker subsidiary. John is a nephew of our Founder and joined the firm in 1962.

Matthew McEneaney

Matthew joined the private client department at JM Finn & Co in 1992 and became a Partner in 1995. Matthew spent his early years as a stockbroker with Henry Cooke Lumsden.

Tom Rebbeck

Formerly a director of Greig Middleton , Tom joined JM Finn & Co in 1999 . He works in the Bristol office and manages funds for Private Clients, Trusts, Pensions and Charities.

Steven Sussman

Steven joined JM Finn & Co in 1997, became Managing Partner and on incorporation Managing Director. Prior to J M Finn & Co, Steven spent 12 years at Granville Plc where he held the position of Group Finance Director.

Simon Temple-Pedersen

Simon began his career in investment management in 1992 joining JM Finn & Co in 2000 where he is responsible for managing investment portfolios for a range of private clients, trusts and, in particular, both private and corporate pension funds. Simon is both a member of the board as well as the firm's Management Committee.

Robin Ward

Robin joined JM Finn & Co straight after graduation from Newcastle University. In Addition to managing private client funds, Robin is the director in charge of dealing operations.

Luc Bertrand (Non Executive Director)

Luc Bertrand joined the Board in September 2011. He is currently CEO of Ackermans & van Haaren and also currently chairman of Guberna, the Belgian Institute of Directors. He sits as a non executive on the board of Bank Delen and is on the non executive board of Bank J. Van Breda. In addition Mr. Bertrand is involved as a non executive board member of financial institutions in Belgium (ING Belgique) and the U.K. (Schroders) and previously as an independent director of financial institutions in Belgium (Banque Indosuez and Generale Bank.) Prior to his career at AvH Mr. Bertrand had also spent time in the City of London and in New York as a banker.

Jacques Delen (Non Executive Director)

Jacques Delen joined the Board in October 2011. He is currently Chairman of Ackermans & van Haaren and is on the non executive board of Bank J. Van Breda. He has been the CEO of Bank Delen in Belgium for many years and developed this stockbroking company into a leading private bank with a reputation for prudence and care of its customers. Jacques is a member of both the Board and the firm’s Management Committee.

Paul De Winter (Non Executive Director)

Paul De Winter joined the Board in September 2011. He sits on the board of Bank Delen and is on the non executive board of Bank J. Van Breda. He has extensive experience in developing the discretionary asset management activities of Bank Delen. Paul is a member of both the Board and the firm’s Management Committee.

Jan Suykens (Non Executive Director)

Jan Suykens joined the Board in September 2011. He currently sits on numerous boards in Belgium and abroad and is also one of the members of the executive committee of Ackermans & van Haaren. He is Chairman of the board of both Bank J. Van Breda and Bank Delen. In addition, Mr Suykens is a member of the Advisory Committee of ING (Antwerp branch), and an independent non-executive board member at Mercator Insurance (Belgian affiliate of Swiss Basler/Baloise Group).

Prior to joining AvH Mr. Suykens had also worked for a number of years in the finance sector at Generale Bank.
